SE.3160’s 19340, 19376, 19377 and 19401 were assembled from 22nd to the 24th.

2010.06.23
C-130 16805 arr. Funchal with personnel and material for the FAP exhibition.

2010.06.26
arr. Alphajets 15250 and 15206, to Funchal Airport, escorted during the oceanic flight by P-3C 14807.
15206 was noted around noon that day practicing its demo flight at Funchal.

2010.06.27
noted Funchal airport on static display, 14807 P-3C, 16505 C-212, 16705 C-295M, 15133 + 15126 F-16AM, 17402 Falcon 50, 19605 EH-101, 16804 C-130, 15250 + 15206 Alphajet. Also noted at Funchal was 16806 C-130H, and 19603 EH-101 from Porto Santo (DAM/AM3).
Another C-295M was noted flying but the no. is unknowned, and SE.3160 Alouette III 19377, both in “baptism flights” from Funchal.
The Rotores de Portugal demo aircraft were nos. 19376 and 19340.

2010.06.28 the Rotores de Portugal display at Câmara de Lobos was with a/c’s 19340 and 19376, standing 19401 in reserve. Again a C-295M was noted and SE.3160 Alouette III 19377, both in “baptism flights”, both from Funchal airport.

2010.06.30

The Rotores de Portugal SE.3160 Alouette III’s are flown to AM3 Porto Santo, escorted by EH-101 19605 (SAR support) and a C-295M with logistical equipment.
On arrival the 19401 + 19376 made a training of their routine.


2010.07.01

All three SE.3160 flew during the day for baptism flights.
The Rotores de Portugal display took place on the afternoon (19340 + 19376), all three helicopters flew back to the main island, escorted by EH-101 19605 and C-295M 16702 (logistical support).

Noted also on that day, at AM3 the presence of C-212 16505, in programmed maintenance.

19605 EH-101 noted in MEDEVAC mission from AM3 to Funchal Hospital.



2010.07.03 – Airshow at Funchal bay

Esquadra 501 C-130 flyby – 16801, 16804 + 16806 – demo flight by 16804

Esquadra 502 C-295M flyby – 16705 + 2 others, demo flight (SAR kit drop ...) 16705.

All the a/c departed from AM3 Porto Santo, and on the same day was noted thet the presence of Falcon 50 no.17201



Open Bases Day – AM1 Maceda, Ovar - July 10th 2010

Static display - C-212 Aviocar (16503), T-37C (2427), T-38A (2608); FTB-337G (13710), Alphajet (15246) and Fiat G.91R/3 (5452), all of the local branch of the Museu do Ar, plus the SE.3160 Alouette III (19302) Esq. 552 “Zangões” (SAR Alert), and the flight baptism flights were flown by C-295M (16702) of Esq. 502 “Elefantes”.
Hangar – included the rest of the museum a/c, Piper Super Cub (3208) and TA-7P (15545), this last undergoing restoration work.
